WHO WE ARE

The Shramajeevi Gramina and Nagarabhivruddi Samsthe(SGNS) is a registered not-for-profit organistion, established in 2011. It was registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 on May 21, 2011 SL.No: V-5/29/2011-12 at Raichur, Karnataka. The registered office is at Malladagudda, Maski taluka of Raichur district in the North region of Karnataka state, South India. SGNS has been implementing various projects in 34 centers in North Karnataka and diverse development initiatives for welfare of the poor, marginalized, and deprived sections of the society. It aims to empower the deprived with education, social & economic self-reliance, and sustainable development. Since 2011 it has been imparting services in core areas such as education, health, livelihood, empowerment, community development, skill development, etc. The action area is Raichur where unemployment and migration has had an adverse impact on children’s education and also health. Therefore, the organization has made sincere efforts by imparting various need & rights based activities such as campaigns, capacity building, promotion of SHGs, formal & non-formal educational activities, medical certifications, & skill development initiatives, etc. The organization has successfully implemented all activites through Participatory Methodology for promotion of people's participation, development of ownership, attitude, leadership quality and sustainability of the activities.

Legal Status:

Shramajeevi Gramina and Nagarabhivruddi Samsthe(SGNS) is registered under all relevant sections of the Government law. We have PAN/ TDS/ TAN/ 12A/ 80G/ and NITI Aayog certificates.

Management:

SGNS has its office bearers and the management committee subject to its rules and regulations. The management committee consists of seven members with versatile backgrounds such as social, academic, administration and technical.

Operational area:

SGNS has been implementing various development programs in most of the districts of Karnataka, focusing on thrust areas like illiteracy, unemployment, poverty, migration, malnutrition, gender, labour and health issues etc.
